It was hard to differentiate the Lichtauswertekraftwagen - flash light evaluating motor vehicle - (Kfz. 62), abbreviated Licht. Ausw. Kw. (Kfz. 62), and Wetterkraftwagen - weather motor vehicle - (Kfz. 62), abbreviated Wett. Kw. (Kfz. 62), outwardy. They differend by the arrangement of the outer equipment from other variants of the Kfz. 62. (Image from D 600)

Initially, the different variants of the Kfz. 62 were made based on the chassis of the Büssing-NAG G 31, Mercedes-Benz G 3 a and most probably also Magirus M 206. Later, the Einheitsfahrgestell für l. Lkw. - standard chassis for light lorry - was also used. (Image from D 600)
