The heavy Kaelble Z 6 W 2 A 130 (Wehrmacht) respectively Z 6 R 2 A 100 (Reichsbahn) wheeled tractors were made from 1936 to 1945. The Wehrmacht model was propelled by a 13.3 litres, 135 HP diesel engine while the Reichsbahn model was propelled by a 100 HP diesel engine.

In 1938/39, the Luftwaffe acquired about 120 Kaelble type Z 6 W 2 A 130 wheeled tractors. The vehicles with the seats at the rear of the ballast platform were mainly used by the Wehrmacht. The Reichsbahn had some vehicles of this type, too.

The Kaelble Z 6 R 2 A 100 of the Reichsbahn were almost exclusively pre war deliveries. They had a simple ballast platform without seats at the rear. Later, the seats were dropped on the Wehrmacht model, too.
