2,593 exemplars of the Büssing-NAG G 31 were made from 1931 to 1935. About 2,300 of these vehices were delivered to the Reichswehr and Wehrmacht. It was propelled by a 65 HP four-cylinder petrol engine.
There was also a variant of the Büssing-NAG G 31 with closed driver’s cab. Besides others, such vehicles were mainly used by the NSKK and the Reichsbahn. Such vehicles were also exported.
