About 1,000 exemplars of the Sd. Kfz. 7/2 were made. The dropsides were made of wood towards the end of war. Rarely these vehicles were armed with a 3.7cm Flak 43 in place of the 3.7cm Flak 36. This Sd. Kfz. 7/2 towed a Sd. Ah. 57. Additional equipment and ammunition was transported with this trailer.
