Already in the early 1930s, trailers for the transportation of horse drawn wagons for motorised towing were developed in France. The production of the Train rouleur omnibus de 1,6 t FAL started first in 1939. Until 31st May 1940, altogether 722 exemplars were delivered to the French Army. The illustrated trailer was used by a unit of the Wehrmacht for the transportation of a damaged l. gl. Lkw.
