Werkstattanhänger 5t (2 achs.)

Until now, no information could be found about the illustrated two-axled workshop trailers. All trailers are of the same type but the last trailer had additional boards to increase the hight of the interior. The superstructures of these trailers were very similar to that of a Werkstatt- kraftwagen (Kfz. 79).

Two additional trailers of this type fielded by the Pionier Lehr Bataillon. The design of the superstructure appears too professional to be a troop conversion. Possibly, this is the Werkstattanhänger 5t (2 achs.) - two-axle workshop trailer 5 tons - for medium motor-vehicle maintenance platoon which is mentioned in KStN 1081 from first November 1943.
