The schwere Maschinensatz A & A 1 auf Kufenwanne - heavy machine set A & A 1 on skid- trough - was mounted on the Anhängerfahrgestell A 2. Except the Kufenwanne, the superstructure was identical to that of the Sd. Ah. 24.
The schwere Maschinensatz A mounted on the A 2 trailer chassis was exclusively procured by the Luftwaffe. It was replaced by the Elektromaschinensatz I which was very similar and was also mounted on the A 2 trailer chassis.
