The Feldballonwinde 39 auf Anhänger (2 achs.), fahrbar - field-balloon-winch 39 on two-axle trailer, movable - was introduced into the balloon platoons of the observation battalions of the artillery in the late 1930s. The trailer chassis was a commercial design. Around 1940, it was replaced by the Feldballonwinde 40.
