Civilian sledges were generally designated by the Wehrmacht as Panjeschlitten regardless of the size or construction. Sledges for passenger transport only - so called Pasagierschlitten - were rarely used by the Wehrmacht because they were not so versatile as other sledges. This zweispännige Pasagierschlitten - two-horse passenger sledge - was used by a unit of the Wehrmacht for liaison servive.
