The kleine Feldkücke - small field kitchen - M 17 (t) mit feststehender Herdplatte - with fixed stove top - was designed for units with 60 to 150 men. It was composed of a Vorderwagen - anterior wagon - and a Hinterwagen - rear wagon.

The Herdgehäuse - stove housing - of the Hinterwagen was angular shaped on the frontside and round on the rearside. Three equal 50 litres containig Kochkessel - feed boilers - and a Bratvorrichtung - oven - were available. The Bratvorrichtung was constructed as a top part on the stove top.
