The so-called Polok - which means freely translated flat wagon - was widespread in the Soviet agricultural sector. There were various designs with streight and convex platforms. The ilustrated flat wagon was photographed in the area of the Don river on 10th July 1943.

This flat wagon was used for the transportation of camouflage material. On the backside of the photo, the wagon was simply designated Panjewagen.

This PK photo shows several different Panjewagen during the transportation of bombs to a frontline air strip in January 1942. The Panjewagen in the foreground is a flat wagon with convex platform.
