This Chevrolet lorry of the year of construction 1939 was photographed on the Balkans. It was used by a Luftwaffe unit. The Chevrolet lorries of the years of construction 1939 and 1940 are hard to differentiate. The radiator grille was nearly identical but had different number of ribs. Beginning in 1940, the direction indicators were mounted on the mudguards. But this is not a secure differentiator because those direction indicators were often retrofitted on older vehicles, especially in Europe.
