1,250 exemplars of the GAZ 11-73 were made from 1940 to 1941. It had a stronger engine – 6 cylinders – compared to the GAZ M1. The radiator mask and the ventilation louvres were different, too. The shown vehicle belonged to Panzergruppe 2 Guderian.
This is the same vehicle now seen from the front. It seems that the vehicle was damaged. Anyhow, the radiator mask originates from a GAZ M1. The right radiator mask can be see on this all wheel driven GAZ 61-73.
