GAZ 11-73

Altogether 1,250 exemplars of the GAZ 11-73 were made from 1940 to 1941. It had a stronger engine – six-cylinders – compared to the GAZ M1. The radiator grille and the ventilation louvres were different, too. The illustrated vehicle belonged to Panzergruppe 2 Guderian.

This is the same vehicle now seen from the front. It seems that the vehicle was damaged. Anyhow, the radiator grille originated from a GAZ M1.

Despite the unsharpness of the image, the correct style of the radiator grille of the GAZ 11-73 can be clearly seen in this image.
