The three-axle version of the Fiat 621, the Fiat 621 P, was manufactured from 1930 to 1934. The improved model Fiat 621 PN, now propelled by a diesel engine, was made from 1934 to 1939. The payload was also increased from 3.5 to 3.64 tons. The military version of the Fiat 621 PN had both rear axles propelled while the civilian model had only one propelled rear axle. This Fiat 621 PN was used by a unit of the Wehrmacht.
