The Norton H series was manufactured starting in 1911. It was destined for the British market. The engine had a cylinder capacity of 499 ccm. Commencing in 1935/36, a modified version was manufactured for the British Army, the Norton WD 16 H. The illustrated Norton 16 H originated from the second half of the 1930s. It was used by a unit of the 225. Infanterie-Division.
