Commer

Commer was a British commercial motor vehicle manufacturer. It was founded as Commercial Car Company in 1905. Commer produced its first lorry in 1907. Beginning in 1909, buses were manufactured, too. During World War I, the company changed its program to military vehicles. Humber took over the company after several bankrupts in 1926. Both became a part of the Roots Group in 1931. Lorries were manufactured for the British army, too. Some captured lorries were used by the Wehrmacht.
