Hubert Zettelmeyer founded a company for construction vehicles in the year 1897. Beginning in 1903, steam rollers of the British company Clayton & Shuttleworth were offered. Beginning in 1910, own constructed steam rollers were offered. In the year 1922, the company was transformed to the Hubert Zettelmeyer AG. In 1936, the AG was converted to a KG. Likewise in the year 1936, serial production of an agricultural tractor and a wheeled tractor for roads was started. These models were made until 1942.
