VOMAG Type 5 ZR 434

Based on the chassis of the 5 ton lorry VOMAG 5 LR, the Eilschlepper (high-speed tractor) VOMAG 5 ZR 434 with a short wheelbase of 3.4 meters was offered beginning in 1936. The illustrated vehicle with the license number WL-150645 was used by a unit which was based in the area of Lengerich around the turn of the year 1939/40.

The wheeled-tractor VOMAG 5 ZR 434 had a pulling force of 24 tons. Such artics with two trailers had a considerable length. The vehicle had the radiator grille of the initial model with the VOMAG lettering.

Compared to the vehicle illustrated above, this VOMAG 5 ZR 434 wheeled-tractor had a shorter driver’s cab without sleeping compartment and a short platform instead of the ballast bridge. The vehicle had the newer radiator grille which was introduced in 1938/39.
