Only small numbers of the Opel Blitz 3,5-134 and 3,5-157 were procured by the Wehrmacht beginning around 1935. Note the three tone camouflage finish of that time, which was already introduced by the Reichswehr.

This strange looking lorry turned out to be an Opel Blitz 3,5-157 upon closer examination. Most probably this vehicle had a special superstructure which was replaced by a platform for the military use. Anyway, the engine bonnet, the radiator grille, the driver’s cab and the forward mudguards with the bumper originate from an unknown car body manufacturer. The photo was made in front of Luzk in 1941.
