Mannesmann-Mulag AG

The roots of Mannesmann-Mulag goes back to a manufacturing plant for engines which was founded by Fritz and Kurt Scheibler in Aachen in the year 1900. Starting in 1909, it was operated under the name Motoren- und Lastwagen AG (Mulag). In 1913, the merger with the Mannesmann-Auto Co. to the Mannesmann-Mulag AG took place. In 1927, the company got into considerable financial difficulties. Büssing took over machiness, parts and patents. A company for the production of spare parts was founded in 1928 which was eliminated in 1930. It has to be mentioned that Mannesmann-Mulag was involved in the development of a three-axle cross-country lorry chassis by order of the Reichswehr.
