MAN Type ML 4500 A

The MAN ML 4500 A was a reliable vehicle and therefore liked by the soldiers. Normally, the graded ventilation louvres in the forward lower part of the side plates of the engine bonnet indicate the s-model. But the additional gear of the driven front axle on this MAN ML 4500 A is clearly visible.

This MAN type ML 4500 A was converted to a self propelled gun carriage by adding a 2 cm Flakvierling 38 (2 cm four barrelled AA gun type 38). The photo was taken at the airfield in Valona in Italy in the year 1943.
