The model KM m 9 entered production in 1935 and the model KM m 10 was manufactured beginning at the end of 1936. They were indistinguishable, outwardly. Compared to the predecessor model KM m 8, the design of the superstructure was changed and the front section was completely new arranged. The photo was taken during drive exercise in Helmstedt in September 1944.

This m. Zgkw. 8t of the model KM m 9 or KM m 10 had problems with its engine. Note the changed radiator grille which could be easily removed for maintenance.

|
While the model KM m 9 was only made by Krauss-Maffei, the model KM m 10 was also made under license by Hansa-Lloyd under the type designation HL m 10. This model is identifiable by the corresponding emblem on the radiator mask.
