The m. Zgkw. 8t was developed as towing vehicle for medium loads like the 8.8 cm Flak, the 10 cm s. K. 18 or the 15 cm s. FH 18 - which can be seen in the photo. This vehicle belonged to the motorised artillery regiment of the 25. Infanterie Division (mot).

The m. Zgkw. 8t was also used as recovery vehicle for light armoured vehicles. The armoured vehicles were towed or were loaded on the Sd. Ah. 115 flat bed trailer. This vehicle is a HL m 11. The manufacturer of the vehicle could be identified by the brand label on the radiator grille.
