The Reichswehr and also the Wehrmacht procured many commercial lorries. The illustrated vehicle is a Hansa Lloyd Merkur III made from 1934 to 1936. In the meantime, the payload was increased to 4 tons. The swung lower edge of the windshield was typical for the Merkur series.
