Sadly the illustrated photo was made from an unfavorable angle. But without doubt, the car is a Mercedes-Benz type 230 (W 153) cabriolet D like it was manufactured from 1938 to 1943. Besides others, it differed from the older W 143 model by the different shaped forward mudguards and the missing of spare wheels on both sides of the engine bonnet.
