The Svedish company Landsverk offered its Type 181, which was based on a Mercedes-Benz G 3 a/P chassis, starting in 1933. In 1934, six exemplars were delivered to Lithunia. Twelve Pantserwagen M 36 (Landsverk 181) were delivered to the Netherlands in 1934. Compared to the German version of the 6-wheel armoured cars the armoured superstructure was designed simpler and the tyres were designed as bullet proove full rubber tyres. The vehicles taken over by the Wehrmacht were designated as Panzerspähwagen L 202 (h). The illustrated Landsverk 181 belonged to a unit of the regular police forces.
