The Borgward B 3000 A was manufactured in small numbers from 1942 to 1943. It can be differentiated from the Borgward B 3000 S by the slightly higher construction, the massive wheel hubs of the front wheels and the differential gear of the front axle. The illustrated vehicle was photographed in Vilers-Bocage in June 1944. (Photo: German federal archive via Wikimedia Commons; License: Creative Commons BY-SA-3.0-gb)

This lorry is a rare Borgward B 3000 A, too. Although the photo is a bit out of focus, interesting details of the massive differential of the front axle are visible. The vehicle belonged to I. FBK of KG 100. It was photographed in Odessa in March 1944.

Rarely, the Borgward B 3000 A was used as Krankenkraftwagen - ambulance. In this usage, it had a closed box body with gallery roof.
