About 8,000 exemplars of the DKW Sonderklasse were made from 1937 to 1940. Again and again it is asserted that the Wehrmacht had treated the DKW passenger cars with contempt due to their two stroke engines. But the multiplicity of photos with DKW passenger car’s used by the Wehrmacht disproves this allegation!
