Adler Diplomat

The Adler Diplomat 3 G was manufactured from 1934 to 1935. It succeeded the Standard 6 (3 U). The Standard 8 was succeeded by the Adler Diplomat 3 GS Pullman-limousine with increased wheelbase. The ventilation dampers points to the year of construction 1934.

The car body of this Adler Diplomat 3 G touring car was not standard. Officially, there were no touring cars of this type. The used 6 cylinder engine had a power of 60 HP.

The redesigned successor model Adler Diplomat 3Gd was manufactured from 1935 to 1940. The vehicles which were built in 1939 and 1940 were most probably cars for export and maybe some Kübelwagen. The shown cabriolet was most probably made in 1935.

The Adler Diplomat 3 Gd cabriolet with a car body of the company Karmann was manufactured from 1936 to 1938. The shown vehicle was used by a supply unit of 25. Infanterie Division (mot) during the France campaign. Although it had a license plate of the province Westphalia, it had received a camouflage finish and tactical markings.
