Somua MCG 5

The half-track vehicle Somua MCG 5 was characterised by the Wehrmacht as Zugkraftwagen S 307 (f). It was used as towing vehicle for artillery and anti tank guns. The illustrated vehicle was photographed on the eastern front.

Based on the chassis of the Somua MCG 5, a whole series of armoured special vehicles were converted. There was a self propelled 7.5 cm anti tank gun, an armoured ammunition carrier, an armoured engineer vehicle and an armoured mortar carrier with 16 mortars.
