In 1934, SIMCA was created by Henri Théodore Pigozzi. Fiat cars were made under license in the French Nanterre starting in 1935. At first, the Fiat 500 Topolino was made, which was sold in France under the name Simca 5. Later, the Fiat Balilla 1100 was offered under the name Simca 8. Fiat received portions of SIMCA for the licenses. During World War II, SIMCA made parts for the NSU- Kettenkrad. Additionally, complete track sets for the Kettenkrad and the 1 ton, 3 ton and 8 t half-track vehicles were made.
