The Skoda 6ST6-L was manufactured from 1937 to 1941. Altogether 1,182 exemplars were manufactured. It had a payload of 3.2 tons and was propelled by a 100 HP six-cylinder petrol engine. A cable winch was available as standard.
There was a whole series of special vehicles based on the Skoda 6ST6-L for example mobile cranes, workshop lorries and command post vehicles. As of 1940 the type was designated as Skoda S.
