The leichter Ladungsträger - light charge carrier - (E-Motor) (Sd. Kfz. 302) was developed by Borgward in 1940/41. It was based on the development of the French inventor Kégresse. It bekame famous under the name Goliath. In April 1942, the first 15 vehicles were finished. The Goliath was propelled by two electric motors and was steered by a remote cable.
