Altogether 344 exemplars of the 7,62 cm Pak 36 (r) auf Gw. 38 (t) Marder III (Sd. Kfz. 139) were manufactured from April to October 1942. In general, this vehicle served well. The design was a bit too high and the protection of the gun crew was insufficient which can be clearly seen in the illustrated photo.
