Beginning in 1940, the Sd. Kfz. 10/4 was equipped with loading ramps. These were used to mount or dismount the gun on the platform. The design of the frames besides the driver’s compartment were changed and got cable rollers on both sides which were used as pulleys to tow the gun onto the platform. This variant of the Sd. Kfz. 10/4 was made until 1941.

Although the 2 cm Flak 38 entered serial production in 1939, production of the 2 cm Flak 30 was continued until 1943. Beginning in 1941, the 2 cm Flak 38 replaced the 2 cm Flak 30 as main armament of the Sd. Kfz. 10/4. The mountings on the platform had to be changed for the 2 cm Flak 38. This Sd. Kfz. 10/4 with 2 cm Flak 38 belonged to Heeres Flak Abteilung 271 of 13. Panzer Division.
