The Fernsprechkraftwagen - telephone motor vehicle - (Kfz. 23) mit Einheitsfahrgestell II für s. Pkw. - with standard chassis II for heavy passenger car, abbreviated Fsp. Kw. (Kfz. 23), had a crew of six. The car body had three doors on each side. An Abspannleiste - marshalling panel - for telephone connections was located behind the driver’s seat.

With the introduction of the Einheitsfahrgestells II für s. Pkw. Typ 40 - standard chassis II for heavy passenger car type 40, the construction of the car body of the Fsp. Kw. (Kfz. 23) was simplified, too. Now it corresponded widely to the car body of the Mannsch. Kw. (Kfz. 70). The necessary telephone equipment was now installed as additional equipment set.
